Olmec Exhibit at De Young Museum, SF
view from the look out tower, 4/12/11
The Olmec exhibit was small. After eating lunch, we spent remaining time in the look out tower taking pictures. Here we are in front of the aerial map of the peninsula. (l-r) Mr. Smith, Aaliya, Aoderi and me.
Mr. Lamar arranged the trip for our three classes. YAY!!!. (l-r) Trevel, me, Mr. Lamar and Aoderi
I was wondering, 'who is pushing my head forward?' Oh!! rabbit ears!! They are so silly!
Yazmeen is an avid reader. She devours novels. She also has helped me plan lessons by bringing in interesting material from her sister's class at BCC.
The real Olmecs: We still walk the earth :)
Mr. Smith always feeds the kids. He generously offers crackers, cheese and meat from his own lunch. The kids devour it! (as usual)
Bus ride back. The students returned to the bus on time. Essence (middle) helped ensure that all students were aboard by reading the sign-in sheet. The bus ride was as pleasant as the field trip itself.
